Our campground was pretty ritzy, even boasting a nice swimming pool . Was surprised when I first saw it due the impressive backdrop . Barb enjoyed a swim on her rest day . We had more rain which made us happy with our glamp decision.

Barb is feeling rather muscle sore in her legs . I ask her to rate the pain 1 to 10 but she just says it all hurts everywhere on both legs and energy seems to have run off somewhere .
โWell itโs a great opportunity to rest up โ, I say . โIt will do you the world of good โ
โMind you on the Tour de France when riders have a rest day they usually manage a 2 or 3 hour spin ride to keep the legs in good Knickโ
She looks over at me then begins to laugh ๐

Had a very relaxing day off the bikes . A nice lunch out , beef tartare for me and Barb the Plat du jour , then an afternoon nap .

The Loire valley is a lovely part of the country, I remember it well. Enjoy.
Hi B&B, Catching up with the lovely record of your time alongside the Loire. You were very close to where you visited us when in Jargeau and Orleans. I am sure we visited Blois together with Clemence playing hide and seek in the grand staircase ( which is famous for going both ways and you can wave to your favourite knight or dame without actually meeting on the same flight of stairs). A very important correction as well: the outdoors urinals are called pissotieres, or at least I have never heard of any other words :-). Go well and look after the ice box. If you are found of interesting mighty old building, I highly recommend to check La Corderie royale in Rochefort in the Charente Maritime ( not too far from La Rochelle, which is another interesting city). Apart from the time on the bike, very envious of your visit!
Thanks Isabelle , great to get your feedback and news , Iโll correct the mistake soon , donโt want to piss any French folk off ๐๐๐
Barb and I are just about ready to depart however a huge thunder storm is rolling all around us currently , maybe weโll have 2 days rest yet
