I had a 6am start to get some food before heading out into 7 degree temp – just after 7 am – so missed the big brekky today. Wanted to ensure I had plenty of time to cover the 180 Kms to Kalgera
Was little wind to start but as the day warmed the winds picked up and stated to help. the route swung from the NW to the North and eventually had a NE heading. it just got better and better as the wind was a souwester.
The road has these green road signs which allow you to check how far to the next town. I used these milestone points for some brief rest stops.
Crossed the SA – NT border about 20 Kms from my destination. .
the last Kms just flew by with significant wind assistance. Have had an email from Charles who had a real hard day yesterday on this route- he ran out of fluid and was just on dusk arriving here-
I arrived at about 3 pm and feeling good for the next 182 Kms tomorrow
