With only Stewart island visible in the distance we have finally reached Bluff and have turned homewards bound. Pic from top of Bluff Hill
Spent an evening in Invercargill , free parked at the Catholic Basilica , very close to the CBD so we had a chance to catch up on city life.

Free camping “Pinders Pond ” close to Roxburgh. Lovely spot off a quiet road and alongside the fast flowing moody Clutha river. The new cycle track follows the river for something like 75 Kms – another great ride for sometime in the future. Spent the night here – just us.

Headed up the river in cloudy conditions for a walk today – the autumn colours are fading now – still pretty country.
