Our hour on hour off routine continues to serve us well and we made good progress in improving weather. Our destination was the old town of Gundagai – made famous for an historic folk song , ” The Road to Gundagai ” Barb gave us a short rendition / version over the phone and this was followed by several other more polished versions pulled in from the cellular network and played loudly via our car Bluetooth.

Sharlene had been promised a night out at the pub and we also picked up another bird , Beth , a lovely English girl traveling alone in her van. She joined our little group and even joined us later for a last rousing rendition of the ” Road to Gundagai “We have set up camp in Gundagai – nice spot but maybe a bit noisy as the Hume freeway is rather
