Bruce has been a beekeeper since about 1979- specialising in production of Manuka honey to a medical specification – end point use.
Bruce’s love of adventure is realised through cycling and also sea kayaking.

Remember us, Thomas the Swiss and me the German you met at your bike ride across the Nullabor. We went to see the whales at the great bight together… I wanted to write you for a while now. You told us about your small and super lightweight chair one I did a bit of research and ended up purchasing 2 for us as well. They are sooo cool! Thanks for sharing your find with us 🙂

joined the Weser tour, met Wilfied, Cloudine and Philip, Achim and Dagmar and several others we met at the Elbe in 1917. On the lower Weser ( to the sea) we were so happy to have backwind, so a quick and easy passage! I am now back home and Esther is walking in the mountains with her husband. All well Daniel , covid interfered with travel plans of course , but I did finally sell the Hilux just before covid hit and got a good price too . Have been doing a long walk this summer in nz South Island , you can see that on my blog .

Hi Bruce, tis I, Steve from Nova Scotia. Met you and Barb on the Motatapu summer of 2023. You told me if I was ever back in country and up Kerikeri way to get in touch. Well that’s what I’m doing, I’ll be in Kerikeri on Nov 15th (arriving in country early on that day). Plan is to wander the track again, I know, shouldn’t I be getting tired of the TA by now. Yes and no, is my reply. I plan to wander the country south, using the TA as a base line but will be spending as much time away doing tracks that are new to me, no shortage there I reckon. Hopefully you will around and we can hookup, be great to see you and yours again. Cheers mate!

No Bruce, intercity is my mode of travel north. Arriving on the afternoon bus, 5:30 I think. Plan is to find somewhere to setup my tent and crash, by then I’ll have been traveling around 42 hrs. Taking the next day to get rid of jetlag, then start hiking north on Sunday ( weather permitting)
