This trip was proposed way back towards the end of 2010 – and an invitation went out to all Kerikeri. Striders cyclists come join me.
On the eleventh hours Charles Stewart decided to come along – so we now have a 2 man team heading north up the Stuart highway- Alice bound
my ambition is to complete this leg – linking with 2 previous trips so that I will have cycled from Darwin to melbourne via adelaide via the Stuart highway.
My plan is to be riding out of Adelaide in the morning of 29th July – Alice bound.

Adelaide cyclist Andrew Prior , a member of the large web based Adelaide cyclists forum very kindly invited me to stay at his home on my first night – gave me space to set up the bike and prepare all equipment. Andrew anf his Wife Wendy live in northern Adelaide. he very kindly picked me up from the airport and we spent a nice evening discussing the route and other cycling adventures.

Charles arrives 24 hours behind me and we have agreed to cycle up to port Augusta independently and should see each other sometime on Sunday afternoon.
