Barb and I spent an interesting evening and night in Opononi – Sth Hokianga with the 5th wheel van – testing the kit. Was a big night with the world cup finals and we wound up the satellite dish and had great TV reception. We decided to avoid the big screen at the pub – it was very very dark over at the pub at Opononi and that was before sunset- They had a huge screen set up on the large truck – 8metres x 4 metres – but it looked like trouble – and next day we learned it failed – dead as a Dodo- after 50 minutes. Folk had paid $10 to get in to watch so I suspect that may have had to refund angry rugby fans
We stayed in the 5th- cooked a wonderful meal and -watched it over a glass of whiskey and or wine
What a tense game it turned out to be – was hard to watch as the last 10 minutes came up and it was still anyones game to win.
Slept well and woke to the thought that yes – NZ are now the rugby world champs – Yeh!
The trip home was via Rawene and kohukohu – across on the ferry- all for $32.

All systems worked well – we have a special list of some minor things still to get – but all looks good for some serious adventures to come.
