We fled the dreadful weather in the Deep South with some well planned bursts – including a 4am departure from Christchurch to take advantage of a small weather window to avoid dangerous gale force winds. Bonus for Barb as she saw an actual real sunrise – a rare event in her life.
Arrived back at the same campground where we spent our first night on this South Island odessy – now nearly 3 months ago. With a day to spare we decided to have a days wine tour , including a 3 course lunch , with ” bubblygrape” company .
