Ducked out to see this special national park at Rishiri island . My final two nights camping on this part of the trip. Has a regular ferry service from Wakkanai , and again I am the only obvious foreigner. Has a steady trade in Japanese tourists.

First pic shows this old volcano in the distance. Locals refer to it as Rishiri – Fuji 

Nice campsite – but a climb that I didn’t really have the heart for. Body is objecting to more work now , seems to be calling “time out ”
