Looking for some keen Striders members – or others – ready to take the challenge of a small winter overnighter by kayak, Weather permitting – leaving Opito bay on a Friday arvo – short paddle to Turtle island – camp overnight- leave early with a paddle maybe over to the Black rocks – back home by mid morning saturday – time to mow the lawns or whatever.

You would need
1 suitable sea kayak
2 some basic camping gear – sleeping bag – small tent
3 a little spirit of adventure – or a good bottle of red

Checked it out today – great spot to camp – plenty really nice tent spots .
