Tolaga Bay and Cooks cove

The longest concrete wharf for ??
spectacular hole thru rock very close to Cooks cove
Cooks Cove
spent a couple of nights at Tolaga bay. Boasts the longest concrete wharf in the southern hem. Popular with fisherman who try their luck off the end of the jetty. The local council here has little or no regard to public safety as there is no ladder to get back onto the wharf and quite a long drop to the water with no rails at the end. Frankly an accident waiting to happen. Apparrently a storm removed the ladder some while back.
We took a 2 hour walk to “cooks Cove” a spot where james cook stopped to pick up water and wood. An energetic walk with some climbing involved. All good fitness building ahead of some of our planned bigger walks.
