Lovely sunny day and wonderful quiet roads meandering through Cumbrian and Yorkshire Dales. Jamie and Marty came with me on an early detour to get a money machine in the town of Sedbergh. We hit pay dirt with an excellent coffee from a Pom proof coffee machine

This machine requires a supply of beans and water and it will makes all the important calls thereafter ie Pom Proof Coffee – got an 8 !!

After our lunch break Marty Jamie and I went hard over the last 35 odd Kms , a lovely route through narrow country lanes snaking through the green country and a series of old villages. Tomorrow we cross into Scotland.

My guests for dinner tonight at ” The Belted Inn” in Hallbankgate. Keith Denton and Steve Newton , a first time face to face meeting with guys I have raced with and against in virtual reality cycling events over the last 10 years. A very very special and memorable moment for me.
