The Gift of Eloquence
Today I joined the club of the millions who have kissed the Blarney stone with the hope of becoming more eloquent. We will just have to wait and see. At the very least it was a fun experience on a perfect weather day in Ireland. The castle itself was interesting and different to the many others I have seen with dungeons, guard cells for a dog and sentry and remarkable views. The bees were enjoying the lupins in the Poison garden and the Rock Close garden featured the pagan sites from long ago of the Druids, witches and fayrefolk.
From Blarney I headed to Cobh to see where the Titanic made its final departure from Ireland and discovered a memorial to the Lusitania which sank in 1915off the Cork coast near Kinsale.
