Leaving Vrboska – ferry to Split

Very early am in Vrboska – waiting for a truck to pick us up and transport us to the ferry terminal.

The local vege / fruit seller promised that he had a mate who would be able to transport us and our 2 x 5 meter kayaks to Stari Grad ferry terminal. An old truck finally rumbled up – late – and we loaded the kayaks up – they canterlevered over the rear by about 2 meters – I rode on the back to ensure they did not fall off. Was a great deal as he was able Drive thru security – straight on th big ferry – and we unloaded with ease. We missed the official ticket office and a crew member took us aside and gave us a special "cash deal " ticket – ie the cash went into his pocket. The kayaks rode free!
